Larb is said to have originated in Laos but over times, this diverse dish has been adopted and modified around the neighboring countries, like Thailand and Malaysia.
So, what is larb? The dish is a type of meat salad often made with chicken, beef, duck, fish, pork or mushrooms. The meat is flavored with fish sauce, lime juice, roasted ground rice, chili powder and palm sugar. Larb can be eaten either cold or hot. The meat is minced and cooked, then thoroughly mixed with chili, herbs and vegetables.
It can be eaten with sticky rice or wrap with lettuce. Here we decided to use our famous almond flour crepe as a wrap with this flavorful larb salad.
